My Vacation Summer 2013

Well I never knew that I would see all of the things that I did in a whole week. I went to Dollywood and Nashville TN and I got back on Saturday night.

In Dollywood, I saw two of Dolly's shows since my mom was with my boyfriend and I.

The first show was called Heart Song just the story about Dolly and how she grew up. That was a lot of fun to watch and I even learned a special fact that Dolly moved to Nashville the day after she graduated high school and she made it big.

The second show about Dolly that we saw was My People. All about her growing up with her brother and sisters and that was also very interesting to watch.

We also rode a few of the rides there in Dollywood since it is like an amusement park itself but better in there.

Then the next day before we left for Nashville, we saw the Titanic show. We got to do the audio tour through the boat and that was just really cool we got to see a lot of the history and also feel the iceberg that the Titanic hit during the tour..

Then we left for Nashville and we spent five days down there.

On day one we went into the Hall of Fame which was where we saw Patsy Cline's and Carrie Underwood's exhibit in there. We also saw a lot of the pictures that were in the hall of fame past and present.

The second day, we went into Studio B. This is where a lot of artists record their music and we were in the same room as Elvis Presley used and saw the piano that he used when he did his songs. Artists still use this piano today. Also we went to the Grand Ole Opry and saw Rascal Flatts and Sarah Haze. Also Diamond Rio and others were at the show that night.

On the third day, we went backstage of the Grand Ole Opry. We got to see all of the dressing rooms, pics of people in the Grand Ole Opry etc. We even got a picture of all of us standing on the stage. I got a shirt with artists that have played in the Grand Ole Opry and a small ornament for Christmas which was bought by my mom.

The last day we were at the Ryman Auditorium which was awesome as well. Saw the same stuff that we saw in the Grand Ole Opry. I also got a book to take home and a list of artists that performed @ the Grand Ole Opry on the night that we saw the concert. I also got a small little snowglobe that I will probably place at work.

So Friday we left and we stopped in Virginia since it was a long drive home. We saw the Luray Caverns near the Shenandoah Valley. This was really cool as well.

That in a nutshell is my vacation for this summer..

I hope that you all enjoy the rest of the week...
